Our Story

Bedtime stories that meet your family where you are, tonight.

Family Storybook Studio helps parents turn real life into bedtime stories, stories your child actually wants to hear again.

It started the way most parenting projects start: exhausted, slightly overwhelmed, and trying to do better tomorrow than we did today. We began writing stories starring our own family, our son as the hero, us as imperfect parents, and the moments we were living through woven into the plot. The surprising part wasn't just that our child loved them. It was how the process changed us.

Writing these stories became a small nightly ritual of reflection. We could slow down a hard moment, practice repair, and model the words we wanted to use when we were calm, not just when we were depleted. And because kids love repetition, we didn't just write the "better version" once; we rehearsed it together night after night.

Family Storybook Studio makes that experience accessible to any parent:

  • Create characters that look like your family, stylized, consistent, and recognizable
  • Choose how you want to make your story:
    • Freeform: write your own
    • Guided: answer prompts and we shape the arc
    • Expert arcs: pre-built story structures for common milestones and challenges
  • Export a print-ready album to Google Photos so you can easily turn your story into a beautiful hardcover book

We're not trying to replace classic children's books. We're building a companion to them: a way to create a story that meets your family where you are, tonight.

If you're in the thick of early parenthood, tired, trying, and still full of love, you're in the right place.

Welcome to the studio. Let's make something your child will ask for again.

Where it started

We made two books before we built the studio. Here's Cash and me reading one of them.
